Arrests made and firearms taken off the streets as police carry out early morning raids in Frankley and Kings Norton

Over the last couple of days, West Midlands Police police teams have carried out two early morning raids in south west Birmingham, resulting in firearms and drugs being taken off the streets and four people being arrested.

During the raids, officers – supported by firearms and dog units – also recovered and reunited a stolen bike and a stolen dog.

Kings Norton raid

A warrant was executed on Saturday morning (29th December) at an address in Brooklea Grove in Kings Norton.

Two arrested

A teenage boy and a man in his twenties were arrested at the address on suspicion of crimes including burglary, possession of class B drugs with intent to supply and breach of bail conditions.

Officers recovered items including a rifle, two knives and class B drugs from the address.

Stolen dog and cycle reunited

The owner of the stolen bike was found after a social media appeal

A stolen dog – an American Bulldog – was recovered by West Midlands Police dog handlers and should be reunited with its owner.

A stolen ladies Giant road bike was also recovered. This has since been reunited following an appeal to find the owner on B31 Voices social media.

Frankley warrant

A further warrant was executed at an address in Frankley today (Monday 31st December) by the Longbridge Neighbourhood Team, with support from.

A firearm, drugs and cash were seized when officers raided a home in Compton Road.

A man and a woman, both in their thirties, were arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm and possession of drugs with intent to supply.
