An elderly couple were scammed out of hundreds of pounds when men offered to clean the guttering on their Bournville home last week.
West Midlands Police confirmed they are investigating after receiving a report of bogus callers being in the Oak Farm Road area of Bournville on Wednesday (16 January).
It was reported that two men approached the couple’s home and offered to clean their gutters for £25.
According to the couple’s granddaughter, after the job was finished the men demanded a payment of £600, which the couple felt pressured to pay.
