West Midlands Police have confirmed that they are investigating a Quinton carjacking where a man was struck on the head and abducted by his assailant.
The man had pulled over in his black VW Golf in Quinton Road West at around 4.30am this morning (Saturday 16th February). When he got back into his car he was approached by an assailant who struck him on the head and forced him into the passenger seat.
A police spokeswoman said: “The offender stole the victim’s wallet and then drove him to a property in Moseley. After leaving the property, he was then dropped off a few streets away while the offender made off with his car. Fortunately he was not seriously injured.”
