West Midlands Police have launched a murder investigation today after a man found injured at a Barnes Hill property yesterday died.
The man was found with a serious stab injury at an address in Alwold Court at around 1am on Tuesday (2nd April).
The 52 year old was taken to hospital but sadly died later in the day.
A woman (53) who was known to the victim, was arrested on suspicion of assault.
She is now being questioned on suspicion of murder, with detectives being granted extra time to do so.
Detective Inspector Hannah Whitehouse, from the force’s homicide team, said: “A man has lost his life and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this terrible time.
“A woman known to him has been arrested but I would urge anyone with information which may assist our enquiries to get in touch via 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
