A van driver has been jailed after a hit-and-run collision in Druid’s Heath in October last year left an elderly man with serious injuries.

79 year old Rosewelth Gordon was struck by a van as he crossed Alcester Road South at around 10.25pm on Monday 22nd October. The van left the scene.
Rosewelth was taken to hospital in a critical condition following the collision.
30 year old van driver Andre Adams, of Aston, was arrested two days later and his van recovered.
After pleaded guilty to failing to stop after a road accident and causing serious injury by dangerous driving, Adams was jailed for three and a half years at Birmingham Crown Court yesterday (Thursday 4 April).
