West Midlands Police have confirmed this morning (Tueday 30th April) that two men have been charged in relation to the death of eighteen year old Jordan Moaozami in Harborne last week.
Jordan, from Quinton, sadly died at the scene after being stabbed in Tennal Road during a disorder on the evening of Wednesday 24th April.
Last night, officers charged 18 year old Hamed Hussein, of no fixed address, with murder and he is set to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today (Tuesday 30th April).
A 19 year old man from Northfield, Moshood Giwa, was remanded in custody after appearing before magistrates yesterday (Monday 29th April) charged with a public order offence.
Two other teens, aged 17 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and have been released on bail pending further investigation.
Detective Inspector Michelle Allen, from the force’s homicide team, said: “This is such a tragic loss of a life that has shocked the local community. These events have left Jordan’s family devastated and our thoughts remain with them.
“I continue to urge anyone who was on foot or driving near to Tennal Road at the time of the stabbing to come forward. You may not be aware that the information you hold has any significance, there may also be dashcam footage or other evidence that may be of use.”
