Officers from British Transport Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to following a report of a sexual assault at Selly Oak station on Friday (2nd August).
The incident took place at around 1am on Friday morning and a man is reported to have inappropriately touched a woman.
Investigating officers believe the man in the images may have information that could help their enquiries.
Detective Chief Inspector Jaci Thomas, of the British Transport Police, said: “Clearly this is a concerning incident; since Friday specially trained officers have been on hand providing the victim with their full support and enquiries have been underway.
“We’re keen to identify this man and want to speak to anyone who was in the area surrounding the station between midnight and 2am, especially if they were driving and have dash camera footage.”
Anyone who knows the man or who has any information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference number 54 of 02/08/19.
