A 35 year old Northfield man was injured when he was pushed from his cycle – apparently purposefully – near Alvechurch last Thursday (17th October). He now faces a lengthy period of being unable to work.
The incident reportedly happened at around 2pm in Brockhill Lane, Weatheroak Hill as he cycled passed Kings Norton Golf Club.
The man said he was pushed from his bike by someone in a passing small dark blue car (possibly a Vauxhall Corsa). He reports that the car then drove away with the occupants laughing, leaving him in the hedgerow with a broken collar bone, cuts and bruises.
Thankfully, passersby stopped to help him.
The plumber now faces at least 6 weeks off work, which affects both him and the business he works for.
West Mercia Police confirm that they are investigating the incident and are keen for anyone with any information to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 0436s of 19th October 2019. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or visit www.crimestoppers-uk.org
