Last month, city planners approved (subject to conditions) the change of use of a retail unit in Longbridge town centre to accommodate a new 24 hour gym.
The Puregym facility will provide customers with up-to-date facilities over two floors in the unit next to Smyths Toy Superstore.
Many have asked us when the gym is set to open and PureGym have confirmed that they hope to begin work on the site in the New Year, aiming to open in Spring 2020.
A PureGym spokesman said: “PureGym is delighted to have secured planning consent for a new 10,000 square foot facility in Longbridge, to bring affordable health and fitness to the local community with our excellent range of classes, cardio machines and fixed and free weights.”
The new gym will employ 12 staff and provide facilities at a low cost with no contract.
