A teenage boy was injured when he was involved in a collision with a van in Bartley Green this morning (Wednesday 13th November).
Police and ambulance services were called to Field Lane – at the junction with Romsley Road – just after 7am this morning (Wednesday 13 November).
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that as well as an ambulance, two paramedic officers and the Critical Care Car from the Midlands Air Ambulance attended the scene.
The teenager was given trauma care at the scene before being transferred to hospital by land ambulance for further emergency treatment.
A police spokesperson said: “The boy was taken to hospital with fractures to his collar bone, pelvis and shoulder, though his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”
The driver of the van is assisting police with enquiries.
