West Midlands Police have confirmed that the body of a man was sadly found in a Kings Norton canal this morning (Saturday 15th February).
Emergency services were alerted at around 8.40am after a member of the public reported seeing what they believed to be a body in the Worcester & Birmingham Canal, close to Masshouse Lane.
All services attended and a spokesperson for West Midlands Police confirmed that the body of a man was recovered from the water a short time later.
He said: “The person has yet to be identified and the cause of death at this early stage is unclear.”
