A local businesswoman has appealed for information after thieves broke into a children’s hair salon in Rubery, stealing hairdressing equipment and toys.
After being closed on Sunday and Monday, she returned to the award-winning Trimz and Tantrumz salon in New Road on Tuesday morning (17th March) to find the locks had been snapped and items – including scissors, clippers and toys from the play area – stolen.
The owner said: “When we arrived this morning our door locks had been snapped and broken into. We can’t believe people could be so cruel.”
Dedicated solely to children’s hairdressing, Trimz and Tantrumz – which now also has salons in Bromsgrove, Halesowen and Solihull – was named Birmingham’s Small Business of the year for 2019 at the Birmingham Awards.
The Rubery salon was broken in to some time between the evening of Saturday 14th March and Tuesday (17th March) morning.
Anyone with information is asked to contact West Mercia Police by calling 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or visit www.crimestoppers-uk.org
