Woman & teen threatened with machete & sword in failed home robbery attempt

West Midlands Police are appealing for information after a woman and a teenager were threatened with a samurai sword and a machete in an attempted robbery in Kings Norton in the early hours of yesterday morning (Thursday 14th May).

Two men kicked their way into the home in Aldbourne Way, Hawkesley at around 4am on Thursday morning.

The pair searched through the house and demanded cash and jewellery, threatening the occupants who were thankfully not physically hurt in the incident.

Empty handed

The would be thieves left empty-handed – thought to have headed towards a car park on the corner of Pastures Walk and Longdales Road.

Descriptions

The first man is described as about 20, 5ft 6in tall, and had light tanned skin, with distinctive darker patches on the side of his face, and dark rings round his eyes.

The second suspect is described as being slightly taller, and both were wearing dark clothes.

Investigating detectives are appealing for anyone who may have any information to get in touch.
