ELECTION 2021: Polls open to choose West Midlands Mayor and Police & Crime Commissioner

Polls opened at 7am this morning (Thursday 6th May) to select the next elected Mayor and the next Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for the West Midlands.

Postal votes have already been submitted and polling stations are open until 10pm this evening for those choosing to vote in person.

  • Polling stations are open 7am – 10pm Thursday 6th May
  • Find your polling station:
    • Some polling stations have changed
    • Check your polling card – you should have received in the post
    • Check online
  • You do not need to take your polling card – you can vote without it
  • Due to COVID-19 restrictions, please wear a face covering (if able), follow any social distancing measures and take along your own pen or pencil if you can.
  • Postal votes should be received by 10pm 6th May – if you forgot to post yours, you can drop it into your local polling station
  • Emergency Proxy Vote: If you are unexpectedly unable to vote due to work or medical reasons, you can apply for someone to vote on your behalf at your polling station. Applications must be submitted before 5pm Thursday 6th May Details
  • Results: Results are expected on Saturday 8th May
