Firefighters tackling a blaze in a Rubery apartment block last Friday (16th July) discovered a cannabis farm in the building, police have confirmed.
Around 300 plants were found at the scene of the fire in Park Way, Great Park. The fire destroyed the roof space of a flat and led to neighbouring apartments being evacuated.

Six West Midlands Fire Service crews tackled the blaze using breathing apparatus and a hydraulic platform, with the fire being extinguished within around two hours. Park Way remained closed for several hours.
No-one was injured but there was damage to surrounding apartments.
