The second ‘Mental Elf Fun Run’ has raised a massive £19,000 for Birmingham Mind, a big boost for mental health support services and mental health awareness in the city.
More than 270 festive elves of all ages took part in the sponsored run at Cannon Hill Park on Sunday 1st December 2024.
The 5k run brought together families, friends, colleagues, and members of the local community for a fun-filled, festive day that encouraged participants to complete the course in support of better mental health services in Birmingham.
With more donations still coming in, Birmingham Mind announced that the current total raised is a fabulous £19,156.92 ! The funds raised will support the charity’s mental health services, including the walk-in Wellbeing Hub located on Link Street inside the Bullring and Grand Central.
A spokesperson for Birmingham Mind said: “Thank you to everyone who supported us this year – you’re all part of making a real difference to mental health services in Birmingham and beyond!”
