Four teenagers have been arrested in Longbridge town centre this afternoon (Wednesday 13th September) after a man suffered stab injuries during an incident in Tessall Lane behind Longbridge Station.
Police and ambulance services were called just after 11am when a 20 year old man entered nearby JobCentre Plus at the junction with Bristol Road South looking for help.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that one ambulance attended and treated the lad for stab wounds to the buttock and leg before transporting him to hospital. His condition is not believed to be life threatening.
A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said that four teenagers were arrested a short time later in Longbridge town centre and remain in police custody. A knife was also recovered.
The spokeswoman said that officers are carrying out reassurance patrols in the area and CCTV footage is being examined to build a clear picture of the incident.
