A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed that an ambulance, a paramedic officer and a MERIT doctor had attended but unfortunately the woman, believed to be the driver of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The spokesman said: “On arrival, crews discovered a woman in the car, who was found to be in cardiac arrest.
“Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene.”
Appealing for information which may assist the investigation, a spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “We are particularly keen to hear from people who were driving in the area shortly before the collision, who may have dashcam footage.
“Please get in touch to share what you saw. Even the smallest piece of information could help our investigation into this incident.”
