Organised by Northfield Community Partnership, the free event runs from Wednesday 25th to Sunday 29th July 2018, with an urban beach, entertainment and activities for all ages in Price’s Square in the town centre.

And this year’s event will feature a MONSTER of an opening day with a chance to mingle with a T-Rex, as well as an opportunity to pet some baby dinosaurs and take part in a Dino Dig at Jurassic Beach!

The monster theme continues on Thursday 26th July with a No Sharks at the Beach day!

There’ll be an outdoor cinema screening Shark Tale and you can help create a giant shark and shark mural!

You can also meet the mascot of this year’s main funders, Stop Loan Sharks – Sid the Shark. Sid travels the country spreading the word and helping communities bite back against loan sharks.

More details on the full line up for the five days will be coming soon, but you can expect a Sensory Day with a climbing wall and other activities, a Back to the Forties day with vintage entertainment and a Reggae at the Beach day to close, with Trya Radio and popular Northfield Beach regulars Johnny2Bad.

With stalls, arts and crafts with Northfield Arts Forum and more, all going on in Price’s Square for the duration of the event, there will be something for everyone so please support this amazing community event!

Northfield Community Partnership CEO Rebecca Debenham said: “We are proud to announce that for our 7th year Northfield Beach is back!

“We are bringing back our lovely urban beach, deckchairs and sand to Northfield High Street, allowing the community to enjoy a holiday right on their doorstep.”

And Rebecca thanked all involved in making this awesome annual event a success. She said: “We would like to thank all of our funders and friends for their generous contributions, without whom this event would not be able to happen. We hope there is something to offer for the whole family to enjoy, and we look forward to seeing you there!”

Full details will be available on the B31 Voices Events Calendar once confirmed
