West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses after a car fire outside a takeaway in Rubery last Sunday (19th August).
The vehicle was well alight outside Balti Hut in New Road when emergency services arrived at around 8pm.
No-one was injured but the vehicle was destroyed and two shop front suffered heat damage.
Officers investigating the fire believe that two males were nearby at the time of the incident and they may nee able to help with enquiries.
PC Pete Lowe said: “We are conducting enquiries in order to establish the full circumstances, and I would urge anyone who was in the New Road area of Rubery or surrounding areas at that time and may have seen something suspicious to come forward.
“Residents live above the premises and this could have posed a real threat to their safety, luckily no-one was hurt in this incident.
PC Lowe said that there would be an increased police presence in the area to reassure the local community.
