Three would be thieves were thwarted by patrolling officers from West Midlands Police when they attempted to steal from a man in Northfield high street this afternoon.
Officers were quick to act when they spotted a man being robbed by three male offenders.
After being disturbed by the officers, the three fled the scene and two were arrested following a footchase.
The third offender was arrested in Bristol Road South by Northfield Shopping Centre after being spotted by the National Police Air Support helicopter trying to make off in a car.
