West Midlands Police have confirmed they are investigating a report of an attack on a young girl as she walked home through a short cut in the Great Park area of Rubery last week.
The attack is reported to have taken place at around 7pm on Tuesday 13th November on a pathway close to the Colmers Astroturf on Park Way – an area known locally as “The Lanes”.
It is believed the girl was walking home from football practice when a group of boys ‘jumped out of bushes’ and began punching and kicking her. Fortunately, the girl was not seriously injured but reportedly suffered a black eye and bruising.
