West Mercia Police are appealing for information after an armed robbery where staff at a Tesco Express store were threatened for cash on Saturday night (24th November).
The robbery happened just before 10pm at the Tesco Express store, just over the Worcestershire border, in Old Birmingham Road in Marlbrook.
Reportedly, two men entered the store and threatened staff with what is believed to have been a hammer, demanding that staff hand over money from the tills.
After taking a quantity of cash, the two men left the store on foot, towards Rednal.
Descriptions
First man:
- 45 to 50 years old
- Around 6ft tall
- Short brown hair
- Dark coloured top
Second man:
- In his 30s
- Around 6ft tall
- Blue coloured top
- Jeans
Searches
Officers from West Midlands Police were alerted to the crime due to its close proximity to the border.
Appeal
Detective Constable Jemma Greenow said: “This was obviously a frightening incident for the members of staff. We would like to reassure the community that a thorough investigation is ongoing and we are extremely keen to trace the offenders.
“We would like to hear from anyone who witnesses any suspicious activity in the area or who has information that could help us.
“Any information, no matter how small, could assist with our investigation.”
