A man is in a critical condition in hospital after a 4×4 collided with a phone mast and cabinets in Shenley Lane in the early hours of this morning (Saturday 12th January).
The man was driving a silver Land Rover Discovery which collided with a cable cabinet close to the junction of Meadow Brook Road – knocking over a large mobile phone mast – at around 12.20am.
West Midlands Police spokesman said that the man suffered life-threatening injuries.
Two other men in the car suffered less serious injuries but no condition updates were available.
Shenley Lane was closed towards Northfield into Saturday morning while the scene was investigated.
