Part of Bristol Road in Selly Oak will be CLOSED to traffic over the weekend.
The road will be closed between Heeley Road and Chapel Lane from 8pm on Friday 18 January to 5am on Monday 21 January at the latest (the road may reopen sooner)
The closure is to facilitate the removal of a large crane which was used for the construction of the new Sainsbury’s superstore.
While all traffic – including buses – will be diverted via Aston Webb Boulevard, Harborne Lane and Chapel Lane, pedestrian access will be maintained.
Selly Oak station car parks will be accessible from Bristol Road southbound or from the Heeley Road entrance. To access the station from the south (towards city), follow the diversion to approach from the north (towards Northfield).
