A teenage boy is set to appear before Birmingham Magistrates tomorrow (Thursday 21st March) after a man was injured with a meat cleaver in an incident in Northfield on Monday (18th March).
Emergency services received a 999 call just after 7pm on Monday when a 30 year old man sustained injuries after being attacked with a meat cleaver on the Balaam Wood estate.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service ambulance and paramedic officer attended and treated the man for for hand injuries before taking him to hospital for further assessment.
A 15 year old boy was arrested by West Midlands Police and has today been charged with wounding and possession of a knife.
The boy has been remanded in police custody and will appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
