West Midlands Police have released an appeal to locate a 20 year old man who failed to appear in court on charges relating to a knife attack on a teenager in Frankley earlier this year.

Mark Powell is charged with stabbing an 18 year old lad in High Timbers, off Ormond Road, on 13th January. Following an argument, the teen suffered two stab wounds to his torso.
Powell was arrested on 20th March and charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Detectives also suspect he was responsible for an attempted burglary in Woodgate Lane, Woodgate, on 4th August.
Powell – whose last known address was in Stratford Road, Sparkhill – failed to appear in court when due this month and police are keen to trace his whereabouts.
In an appeal, a West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “Anyone prepared to carry a knife and use it needs to be taken off the streets and we would urge anyone who’s seen Powell or thinks they know where he is to contact us.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact West Midlands Police on Live Chat at www.west-midlands.police.uk (8am – midnight) or to call 101 any time.
