Three people were arrested and a total of nine dogs seized when RSCPA inspectors and West Midlands Police officers executed a warrant at a Northfield address on Monday morning (14th October).
Following the raid in Tarragon Gardens, Brandwood police tweeted that they had worked alongside Longbridge neighbourhood police and the RSPCA to seize a total of nine dogs under the Animal Welfare Act.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson confirmed that a 62 year old woman and two men, aged 62 and 26, were arrested “in relation to the unnecessary suffering of animals”.
An RSPCA spokesperson said: “”Our officers joined West Midlands Police as they executed a warrant in Birmingham on Monday.
“A number of dogs were seized from an address and an investigation has been launched.”
The RSPCA investigation is ongoing and no further information can be released at this time.
