This year we are honoured to once again partner with Morrisons in Rubery to collect Christmas toys and gifts for children and teens in need across south west Birmingham.
In previous years, the community has made an AMAZING response to these appeals, gifting hundreds of Christmas presents and creating countless smiles!
This year, due to COVID restrictions, the appeal is slightly different.
Who:
This year, gifts will be shared by three charities, to benefit children in south west Birmingham:

Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid: We are happy to once again support this vital charity supporting women who have suffered domestic violence, especially as they are – like many – facing increased demand during this pandemic.![]()
New Starts: From their base in Bromsgrove and their shop in Frankley, New Starts support many families across south west Birmingham and north Bromsgrove, providing homewares and furnishings, food parcels, computers and much more to those in need.![Northfield food service logo]()
Northfield Food Service: Formed in October in response to the parliamentary vote against half term Free School Meals, Northfield Food Service provides prepared meals for children across Northfield constituency during school holidays and once a week during term time. The project brings together local community organisations such as The Project, Northfield Baptist Church and more, with local food businesses including Digbeth Dining Club street Good traders.

- All gifts and toys donated must be new and in original packaging;
- Packaging must be wipeable to allow for disinfecting;
- Please don’t gift wrap the items;
- Sorry, but we can’t take second hand toys or any that aren’t wipeable eg soft toys, clothing (unless in original sealed packaging)
Where:
- Donations can be placed in the collection box in Morrisons Rubery (by the community board);
