A 31 year old man carrying a large ‘zombie knife’ — hidden down his trousers — has been charged after being arrested by armed police on a number 63 bus on Tuesday evening (30th March).
Shortly after 6pm, West Midlands Police received reports of a disorder nearby, with suggestions a woman was being chased by someone with a knife.
Armed police stopped the number 63 bus as it travelled along Bristol Road South. After speaking to three men, one was arrested on suspicion of knife possession.
Haatin Davis, from Nechells, was subsequently charged with possessing an offensive weapon in public. He before Birmingham Magistrates Court yesterday (Thursday 1st April) where he was remanded into prison pending a Crown Court hearing.
