West Midlands Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was found with stab wounds in a south Birmingham street last night (Friday 1st October).
The man – in his 20s – was found with serious injuries in Middleton Hall Road in Cotteridge at around 9.30pm. He sadly died from his injuries in hospital this morning.
The man’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Middleton Hall Road remains closed at the junctions with Lomaine Road and Station Road, along with Selly Oak Road at Northfield Road, while forensic examinations are carried out. Officers are conducting door to door enquiries and looking at CCTV in the area.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “At this stage it is unclear how the victim came about his injuries and we are appealing for anyone with information to contact us urgently.”
