West Midlands Police and the victim of a car theft teamed up in the early hours of Tuesday morning (21st November) to recover the man’s stolen BMW – leading to the arrest of two people suspected of stealing the it!
After spotting his BMW 1 Series – stolen around an hour earlier – being driven at speed past his Bournville home, the man called West Midlands Police just after 3am.
The man then followed the car into Overbury Road where the two occupants abandoned the car.
Response officers were soon on the scene where they arrested a 28 year old woman – believed to have been a passenger in the BMW – on suspicion of car theft.
A 27 year old man from Slough – believed to be the driver – was found in a nearby back garden after being tracked by a police dog. He was also arrested on suspicion of car theft, as well as suspicion of drunk driving.
