An 18 year old lad is in a critical condition after being stabbed in what is believed to have been a targeted attack in Staple Lodge Road last night (Wednesday 20th December).
The incident happened in the street close to Wychall Primary School at around 8.30pm.
The man suffered serious injuries with stab wounds two his chest and leg. He remains critical but stable in hospital this morning.
The road remains closed this morning as forensic investigators examine the scene.
West Midlands Police have stressed that officers believe: “this was a targeted attack and there was no danger to other members of the community.”
