After burglaries at a house and a pub in Northfield, two ‘prolific’ local burglars found themselves in handcuffs on Monday afternoon (11th June) – despite their best efforts to fight off arresting officers.
Two men aged 30 and 36, were arrested on suspicion of burglary in Abdon Avenue, Selly Oak – close to Ascot House – at around 5pm.
The pair attempted to resist arrest but, after a struggle, were apprehended by officers from the Longbridge neighbourhood police team, with back-up from response and offender management officers, as well as a police dog and handler.
