Two staff members were assaulted when knife-wielding robbers struck at a Northfield convenience store late yesterday evening (Wednesday 13th June).
Two men, armed with a knife, entered the Cooperative store in Turves Green just before 10pm. Fortunately, the two women suffered only minor injuries after being kicked and punched by the thieves.
The pair stole a quantity of cash before running from the store, turning right as they left.
Police are currently investigating the robbery and, so far, have issued a partial description of one of the offenders.
He is described as around 6ft tall, wearing a distinctive dark blue puffa jacket with a green hood that had glasses fixed on it and a green patch on the front.
