A motorcyclist was injured when he was involved in a collision with a car in Harborne this morning (Wednesday 27th June).
The man, in his 60s, suffered a serious leg injury in the accident which happened in Metchley Lane, close to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 7.04am to reports of a collision between a car and a motorcyclist. One ambulance was sent to the scene.”
A West Midlands Police spokeswoman confirmed that the road was closed for several hours while collision investigators worked at the scene. It has now re-opened.
The man remains in hospital.
