A Northfield petsitter-turned-author is having great fun tracking her book as it travels around the world – helping her raise funds for the local cat rescue she volunteers with!
From Wags to Whiskers owner Lisa Murray-Lang’s first book On a Whisker and a Prayer is ‘a moving, uplifting true story of a girl who loves animals’ – telling Lisa’s own story of work, redundancy, battling with MS and, of course, animals!
She describes On a Whisker and a Prayer as: “a tale of ups and downs, laughter and tears, redundancy, health issues and the amazing power of pets!”
Lisa is always going that extra mile to raise money for those in need – human or animal – so 10% of all book sales are donated directly to Cramar Cat Rescue in Hopwood.
Now she’s having some extra fun plotting her book’s travels as people go off on their holidays!
So far copies of the book have been snapped in Dublin, Cornwall, the Isle of Man, Brixham, on top of Snowdonia, in the Euro Tunnel, Germany, Switzerland, Paris, Dubrovnik, Barbados, on a Mediterranean Cruise and the USA.
Lisa is eagerly awaiting more photos to add to her travel map! She said: “I’ve had some amazing reviews and people are really enjoying the ‘where is it going to pop up next’ game!”
On a Whisker and a Prayer is available to buy for £8.99 at Cramar Cat Rescue.
Or you can buy online for an extra £3.99 postage charge on the From Wags to Whiskers website.
Or you can catch Lisa herself selling copies of her book at the Cramar Cat Rescue Open Day this Sunday 19th August!
