West Midlands Police are seeking a man who made off in a car after attacking another with a knife in Shenley Lane this afternoon (Wednesday August 29th).
The incident – which would appear to have been a targeted attack – was called in to police at around 4.45pm by a passing motorist who reported a man got out of a car and attacked another man on a motorbike with a large knife.
It’s believed he left the scene in a silver car and police are making efforts to trace the offender.
The victim, believed to be a 27 year old man, was taken to hospital where he remains after suffering a serious knife injury to his back.
The victim has also been detained in hospital by police on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply, motorbike theft and burglary.
The central reservation on Shenley Lane was cordoned off while police conducted enquiries.
