A woman has described being ‘terrified’ after she and a male friend were threatened by a man with a knife as they walked in Northfield late at night earlier this week.
The incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday 18th September, just after midnight (late Monday night).
As the man and woman, both in their 20s, were crossing Bell Hill at the Bristol Road South junction, they were approached by an older man.
The assailant, believed to be drunk, grabbed the man by the wrist and pulled out a knife.
When he let go of her friend, the woman said she was terrified as the man turned his attention to her.
The pair managed to edge away and run to safety and thankfully nobody was hurt.
Officers are keen to examine any CCTV images from the area around Bristol Road South, Bell Hill and Shenley Lane / Black Haynes Road junction from just after midnight on Tuesday morning.
