Three teenagers have been taken to hospital with stab wounds after an incident in Selly Oak this afternoon (Monday 10th December).
The incident happened at around 4.25pm in Weoley Park Road, at the junction of Bristol Road.
Police and ambulance vehicles were present at the University of Birmingham School.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Weoley Park Road […] to reports that three teenagers had suffered stab wounds.”
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed they were called to ‘an assault’ and had sent three ambulances, a paramedic officer and the WM Care Team to the scene.
Three young people – all believed to be males – were transported to hospital for assessment. None are believed to have sustained life threatening injuries at this stage.
The police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are on-going to establish what took place this afternoon and to find those responsible.”
