A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a collision involving a car in Kings Norton this afternoon (Tuesday 9th January).
The accident happened on the A441 Redditch Road close to the junction with Granshaw Close just before 3.30pm.
All emergency services were in attendance.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed that the man was given advanced trauma care on scene after suffering “multiple serious injuries”.
She said: “We were called just before 3.30pm to a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a car. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the West Midlands CARE Team and a MERIT Trauma doctor and critical Care Paramedic from Cosford Air base attended the scene. The motorcyclist, a man, has been given advanced trauma care on scene after suffering multiple serious injuries and is being taken to hospital.”
As of 4.50pm, Redditch Road is closed in both directions between Foyle Road and The Green island (except for some access) and is expected to remain closed for several hours.
