West Midlands Police are investigating after two shops in Frankley were subject to early morning armed robberies this week.
The first incident happened at 5.45 am yesterday morning (Tuesday 9th January) at Greggs in Arden Road. A man with an axe demanded money from staff and made off with cash.
This morning (Wednesday 10th January) at around 6.30am, staff at Londis supermarket in Wareham Road were threatened by a man with an axe. The man left with cash and other items.
Thankfully, no-one was injured in either incident.
